Manila’s Studio Ghibli symphonic concert, officially titled The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli, brings to life the magical film scores of composer Joe Hisaishi this July 31 to August 2 at The Theatre at Solaire.
The production is in partnership with The Japan Foundation, Manila, and endorsed by Studio Ghibli as part of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Year 2026.
What to Expect From the Studio Ghibli Symphonic Concert
Film Concerts PH has rapidly reshaped the local live entertainment scene by bringing officially licensed live-to-film orchestral concerts of beloved IPs including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This year, they will be taking the Manila audience to the wonderful world of Studi Ghibili.
Over the course of roughly two hours, audiences may find themselves revisiting some of Studio Ghibli’s most beloved worlds through music. The announced lineup features orchestral suites from Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki’s Delivery Service, in that order, showcasing many of Joe Hisaishi’s most recognizable compositions.
The Filharmonika Orchestra, under the conduction of Gerard Salonga, will bring together the 83-piece ensemble full of strings, brass, and percussion sections to give the live experience of these soundtracks while scenes from the respective films play on screen.

How to Get Solaire Studio Ghibli Tickets for the Final Show
Most dates for The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli are sold out. But some tickets are still available for the last show on August 2. Here’s how you can snag the last remaining tickets.
Step 1: Check Ticketworld directly. Official tickets for the August 2, 7:00 PM show are sold through Ticketworld’s show page. Search “Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli” and confirm the 7:00 PM listing, since the earlier four shows are already closed.
Step 2: Know the ticket tiers. Five price tiers cover the venue (full breakdown below). A 3% Ticketworld service charge applies on top of listed rates.
Step 3: Try the Solaire Box Office as backup. The box office on Level 2 runs daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, with a break from 2 PM to 3 PM. Staff there can also confirm seating for guests requesting accessible options.
Step 4: Set a reminder, not just a tab. Allocations shift as people cancel or upgrade. A show marked sold out today can open seats again closer to the date, especially on a fixed, no-extension run like this one.
