Here’s everything you need to know and how you can snag your tickets before they’re gone.
What to Expect from Legally Blonde in Singapore
Nathania Ong as Elle Woods is the casting decision people are talking about, and for good reason. The Singaporean actress has built a significant career on London’s West End, with her 2021 debut as Jenna Rolan in Be More Chill, followed by Éponine in Les Misérables and Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton.
Beyond her West End work, she performed as Cinderella in Into the Woods at Singtel Waterfront Theatre Singapore, produced by Pangdemonium, placing her among an elite circle of Singaporean artists who have led global-scale productions. She has spoken openly about what performing this role in Singapore means to her. Her family and close friends, who rarely get to witness her work abroad, will finally see her on stage in a lead role of this scale.

Joining Ong is Nathan Hartono as Warner, Elle’s ex-boyfriend. Hartono is perhaps best known internationally for finishing runner-up at the Chinese competition Sing! in 2016. Seeing him trade his singer-songwriter mode for a musical theatre villain arc is going to be one of the more entertaining things on a Singapore stage this year.
After the initial preview performances on July 29 and 30, Hartono will assume the role for all subsequent shows.
Moreover, London-based theatre director Director Kate Golledge brings a long and trusted history with Singapore Repertory Theatre to this production. The production is also presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
